Hi there! This is the story behind Cobalt Fish Creations!
My name is Daniel and I am the driving force behind Cobalt Fish Creations. During my time at university, I got exposed to 3D printing and modelling. In 2025, I finished my doctorate degree but experienced significant burnout. The months following my graduation, I mentally recovered but also found difficulty getting a job. During this time of no job, I kept having ideas about things to make.
From these ideas, I wanted to make a business and try a new endevour in life where this business can be a pathway for me to fulfill my dreams of making something for the betterment of the world. Yes, very cliche' but it is true :D
Why 'Cobalt Fish Creations'?
I shall tell you the meaning behind the name Cobalt Fish Creations. The use of cobalt is because I like the colour blue and Cobalt Blue is a lovely shade of blue. The use of fish is because when I was young, I found a love for the water and I was seen as a fish by my friends. The use of 'creation' is because I have a desire to create new things and since I have plans to incorporate multiple different machines, I chose a general term instead of something specific like 3D printing, or CNC milling.
Current Machines
The current machines available to me are 3x 3D printers. 2x Bambu Labs P1S printers and 1x Bambu Labs X1C printer.
There are plans for expansion of more 3D printers and the inclusion of other machines as well.
